Symbolic of growth and healthy change the Snake has been painted as being all about sneaky evil. Yet that came from the Snake-oil Salesmen grifting their way with a Cure-all Fix-it-quick Elixir. Well, a fool and their money are easily parted. For only a fool would believe Eve was made from his rib rather than he born from her vagina. We never should have believed them when they blamed the serpent for losing Eden. It was never the snake!Read on about the Year of the Snake or listen here.
Snakes and Ladders. Yes - just the name of a game but note, it does put the Snake first and so should you. Ladders. Sure, they get you somewhere – but nowhere near as fast as a nice slip and slide. For this year you will inevitably slip amongst all this long grass. So, make that slipping fun. Sometimes we are only meant to climb so we may enjoy the thrill of the glide. Play Life’s Game your way… and enjoy those moments you fall on your arse. Others will laugh but greater riches come to those that take themselves so lightly laughter lifts them to plateau’s unknown by those who only trudge the serious path.
Climb for the purpose of buying space to ENJOY yourself. And then very specifically make sure you DO enjoy yourself. Lean years require leaning into … and lean years these are… not a leg to spare but many a scale to sing to…. And as with most exciting things in life you gain control by losing control… so down we go whether to snowfield or rabbithole… for down is as good a way as up other than we’ve confused it so much with judgement and the maligning of a noble beast. A beast so able and slick it squeezes itself free from that which its meant to outgrow … for a snake can and must shed its skin to change. So too we must appreciate that change is vital for our growth.
Over to you dear ones… Over to you to put your skin in the game, to lose it and thereby gain in life.
Much love
